After 50 years of designing the most memorable pieces, Jean Paul Gaultier decided to put an end to his career. His last show will take place next Wednesday. Through his twitter account, he announced himself that he will stop designing. Before it's definitive and he had his very last show, I'm going to discuss some of the special work he has created in his career.
This show celebrating 50 years of my career will also be my last. But rest assured Haute Couture will continue with a new concept. pic.twitter.com/PJCC53K4tm

Jean Paul Gaulthier was not afraid to cross boundaries. In 1985 he designed the men skirt, this was a shock for the whole fashion world. It was totally controversy at that time. But now it's clear, he was ahead of his time. In the 80s he promoted the use of skirts by men, for instance the kilt, which is often associated with Scotland, is designed by Gaulthier as well. On the left you see the design of the men skirt.
Luckily, we don't have to feel completely sad. On the end of the video he posted on twitter, he already got new projects he's gonna be working on. However, what exactly these projects involve is still unclear. What is clear is: we can expect something from this world-famous fashion designer. Gaulthier is not planning to be quiet.
