Yay, the fashion weeks has started again. It's the time of the year again, and I'm excited! On January 6th London started off with the menswear fashion week. Today I'm going to share a few of my highlights from these past days. I'm EXCITED! Let's start...
Disclaimer: It is the first time I've ever written a runway review so if you have any tips, please give them! I appreciate it!
Edward Crutchley
In this collection, Crutchley was inspired by different cultures. The clothes have a bit of an oversized fit which I like, and it also gives me a bit of a sporty look. The prints on the clothes are with animals I think, what gives me a Greek gods vibe and sometimes Egyptian. The color palette is the same as last season (fall 2017). Where the collection in fall 2017 has a seventies hippie vibe, has it now a bold, cook look.Photos by Regis Colin Berthelier for NowFashion.com
Liam Hodges
This collection has many diverse prints. The clothing is giving me a bit of a punk but playful vibe. Also, the make-up is a bit weird, because some of the models got a smiley on their face. This gives the whole look a different perspective. The message I get from this collection is a very youthful look. Something like, don't take it all so serious.Photos by Guillaume Roujas via NowFashion.com
Alex Mullins
At Mullins' collection, we see a lot of suite-style outfits. These suites are combined with lively colors. I like this collection because of how Mullins looked at the daily workwear in a creative way.Photos by Regis Colin Berthelier via NowFashion.com
Pronounce
For the second year pronounce was a guest on London Fashion Week of GQ China. The reason why I like this collection is of the different textures they mixed in the outfits. The hats in this collection also play a big part, it creates continuity.Photos by Yannick Vlamos via Indigital.tv
Wales Bonner
When I see this collection I think of a sailor or seaman. The overall look is a bit sporty, with loose-fit trousers. I like this collection because of the story-telling and the outfits. (can't seem to describe it right haha)More of my favorites: John Lawrence Sullivan, Xander Zhou, Qasimi, Man, Christopher Raeburn, Craig Green, Blood Brother and Man.
