You can call my taste in fashion may be a bit basic. I'm still figuring out what I like and what the past has made in fashion and everything. But there is one thing I'm sure off and that's the New York fashion week. For me, the fashion week in New York is for up-and-coming designers. But we are not going to talk about that. In this article, I am giving a recap of my favorite shows: Tom Ford, Feng Chen Wang, and Raf Simons.
Tom Ford. In his first real menswear runway show, he showed us kind of a nostalgic show. It reminded me of his Gucci days. It gave me a bit of a seventies vibe with all the animal prints and the sequins.
Feng Chen Wang. Where last season she emphasized her Chinese roots, this season she spoke to the notion of homecoming (Carter, 2018 via Vogue.com).
Raf Simons. Before we are going to talk about the collection, can we take a moment to appreciate the runway? The runway looks like a renaissance still life and it gives me a French feeling which I love. The collection was inspired by the movie Christiane F. She was in the late 70s Germanies most famous heroin junk.
You look amazing <3
