London fashion week FW18

Burberry. After 17 years at Burberry, was this his last collection for the fashion house. The creative director of this major brand, Christopher Bailey said his last goodbyes in this collection. The collections shows us rainbow prints in parts of the clothing, this stands for the LGBTQ community. The overall collection had a bit of a streetwear vibe for me and was inspired on the 90s I think.

New York fashion week FW18

Tom Ford. Just like the menswear is Ford inspired by his work in the 90s for Gucci. With sequins, animal prints and bright colors. What also stands out in this collection - besides the fact that the colors are already standing out - is the bag that Grace Hartzel holds. It says Pussy Power. I think that this reference to the #MeToo discussion. The overall picture is great, the colors, the details with sequins and the animal prints are nice. Ford did a great job on both; menswear and two days later this ready-to-wear collection. It is really a breath of fresh air.

NYFW menswear FW18

You can call my taste in fashion may be a bit basic. I'm still figuring out what I like and what the past has made in fashion and everything. But there is one thing I'm sure off and that's the New York fashion week. For me, the fashion week in New York is for up-and-coming designers. But we are not going to talk about that. In this article, I am giving a recap of my favorite shows: Tom Ford, Feng Chen Wang, and Raf Simons.

The 90s sunglasses

Something we've been seen for a while but 2018 is going to be the year for the shades. The sunglasses are getting tinier, getting more different colors and have more fun shapes. Personally, I think it's worth to give it a shot. The trend is easy but can make your outfit look totally different. The retro season is back! Even if it's winter right now, sunglasses are important and this trend proofs that.

The trendsetter of these sunglasses are totally Kurt Cobain's his shades. The big round glasses were in every sort of sizes and colors. Many people in end 2016, beginning 2017 were obsessed with those sunglasses. Eventually some street style icons like Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner went further in this trend. They knew how to style it and show it to the people. If it wasn't to them the trend wouldn't be here (my opinion).  I think we couldn't live without these crazy little sunglasses because it makes our outfit A LOT more playful.

What is your opinion on the sunglasses trend?

MFW menswear FW18

Daks. This collection got much inspired by the sixties romance. A lot of classic prints: checked, stripes, flowers etc. The colors were like there was a filter on it from the sixties. A bit browny, with here and there yellow, green and red. What also was very interesting to see were the hats. The big, rounded hats in any kind of print. This collection was definitely one of my favorites!

All about jeans!

Fall ready-to-wear 2017 (L-R) Lutz Huelle - Adam Selman - Sacai  / Photos: indigital.tv via vogue.com
Over the past couple years their has been a huge change in denims. Firstly of all the high-waisted jeans came back in stead of the low-waisted jeans from the early zeros. Then the flares came back, the boyfriend, mom and girlfriend jeans. Ripped, embroidered, patchworks, two-tone, striped jeans. You can just keep counting how many different jeans there are, it is crazy!

Last year it was a very confusing year for denim. Jeans became a basic item for an outfit, you can find denim in almost every season. It comes back every season but then in a different way. In this article I am going to show you some different versions of jeans.
